About

You Don't Have to Navigate This Transition Alone

There are times in life when everything seems to change at once. You may be adjusting to motherhood, noticing unfamiliar changes during perimenopause, navigating menopause, experiencing shifts in your relationships, or simply wondering where you fit in this next chapter of your life. Sometimes the hardest part isn't knowing that something has changed. It's not knowing what to do with the change. You may feel overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, more emotional than usual, uncertain about your identity, or frustrated that the things that once worked for you no longer seem to work. These experiences can affect how you feel about yourself, your relationships, your work, your family, and your future. You don't have to figure it all out at once. Therapy can give you a place to slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and explore what you need now—not what you needed five, ten, or twenty years ago. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered. I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to help you better understand your experiences, identify your strengths and needs, and move toward the life you want to create. A New Chapter Doesn't Have to Mean Losing Yourself Sometimes transition asks us to let go of an old version of ourselves before we're quite sure who we're becoming. Therapy can be a space to explore that in-between place—with curiosity, honesty, and compassion. About Kimberly I'm Kimberly Reynolds, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of KAR Counseling. I believe therapy is most meaningful when you feel genuinely seen, heard, and respected. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, with an emphasis on helping you understand yourself rather than simply trying to "fix" what's wrong. My work focuses on women navigating the emotional and psychological changes that can accompany major life transitions—including perimenopause and menopause, motherhood and maternal mental health, identity changes, relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, grief, stress, and other challenges that can arise during midlife. I believe that change can be difficult without being a sign that something is wrong with you. Sometimes, change is an invitation to pause, reassess, and discover what you need in this next chapter. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Social Psychology from Park University in 2005 and my Master of Social Work from the University of Kansas in 2007. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Missouri. My goal is to create a therapeutic space where you can be honest about what you're experiencing, explore what matters most to you, and feel supported as you move forward.
